Universe

The universe and our place within it has fascinated mankind throughout history. This resulted in various depictions of space, from ancient stone carvings to abstract modernist paintings. The subject interests Jacques Vanroose as well, who, through the creation of Universe, concretises humanity’s insignificance compared to the cosmos.

Universe portrays three bronze figures who have reached the top of the world, only to realise that inside it lies a vast space of discovery and mystery.

Our bronze sculptures are cast using the lost wax method. Universe is a limited edition bronze sculpture, each piece is numbered and signed.
