Charbel Abou Zeidan

About the collection

Charbel is a Belgium-based artist born in Lebanon whose background lies in architecture, painting, photography, high fashion and sculpture. With a formation in architecture and years as a head designer in haute couture, he developed a refined sensitivity to line, texture and material. The artist’s personal experience of moving between cultures has visibly influenced his artwork. For Charbel, migration does not stand for rupture, but is a source of light, connection and enrichment. This perspective is mirrored in his work, which combines Arab and European influences. For Gardeco Objects, Charbel translated this vision into Silent Language, a sculptural series inspired by Arabic calligraphy. By transforming positive and hopeful words into simple, contemporary lines, he speaks a universal language.
