About the collection
Marian Molenda (1958) is a sculptor based in Nysa, Poland. He graduated from the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdańsk in 1983, and worked, amongst others, as Head of the Department of Fine Arts of the University of Opole from 2016-2023. Marian creates monumental and small-scale sculptures, ceramics, paintings, and drawings. Molenda’s work explores the human body using materials like clay, plaster, bronze, wood, glass, stone, synthetic resins and concrete. He plays with structure, colour temperature, and texture to create intriguing pieces.
