Arco naturale ceramica

Sbordone’s Azzurro wall composition for Gardeco Objects consists of five ceramic elements: Saetta, Scopolo, Arco Naturale, Monacone and Sirene. The ensemble is inspired by 1960s design and the island of Capri, a symbol of the Italian dolce vita. Capri is defined by the sea and natural formations, from the Faraglioni to the Arco Naturale. In awe of its beauty, Sbordone reinterprets these landscapes as sculptural objects.
The surfaces of the different elements are manually glazed in blue, black or metallic finishes, and evoke the Mediterranean Sea. The artist envisions the sculptures displayed together as a wall composition.
