Lucifer To excite – To stimulate

Lucifer is a diptych work of two sculptures in bronze and wood named To excite and To stimulate, by the Belgian artist Ann Vrielinck. The  artwork is reminiscent of smouldering matchsticks that were lit only a few moments ago. It represents the intensity of excitement and the quiet and calm feelings that follow.

Those who look more closely can observe human like figures in the smoke. The slender form of the figurines conveys a fragile but vivid presence.
