Terza navigazione

The title Terza navigazione, or “Third Navigation,” refers to a Renaissance philosophical concept that is the main inspiration for this bronze artwork. With this piece, Armando Di Nunzio invites his audience to explore three levels of understanding to reveal profound truth.

The first level – First Navigation – is the sensory experience and interpretation of the physical world.

The second level – Second Navigation – moves into rational thought. Here, the audience intellectually engages with the world, interpreting its abstract concepts.

Finally, the artwork leads its viewers to Terza Navigazione – the Third Navigation. This level goes beyond sensory and rational interpretation, encouraging a spiritual understanding beyond intellectual and sensory truth.

In this way, the artwork serves not just a visual or intellectual experience, but a journey of discovery,  insight and connection.
